I'm pretty excited about the new Star Wars movie this year.
This oscilloscope is a Tektronix 466, which has a nifty variable persistence feature. The light saber was made by tracing a slow sweep with the persistence turned up.
In this video, the oscilloscope was grounded on both channels and the traces were swept in alternate mode. PEW PEW. LAZERS.
